The Silva Carabiner 40 NL compass is part of the Silva Carabiner series of compasses which are ideal to take with you everywhere. These compasses are not for advanced navigation, but are a good aid if you need to find the right direction. Silva's Carabiner 40 NL is a micro watch compass which can be attached to your watch strap. Alternatively the compass can be attached to your backpack, keyring etc.This is the non-luminous version of the Silva Carabiner 40 Compass.

How do you Rate this Product I used this on my watch in the Sahara. It was so light weight and I didn't even notice it until I wanted to--would check our direction every now and then out of curiosity. I wouldn't want to "really" navigate with it--but as far as checking the box for mandatory equipment I would DEFINITELY recommend going this route. (Posted on 17/10/2010)

It is a mandatory item for many events and races and having this small light option helps keep the weight down and you barely notice it is there.
