  1. Good quality. Quick service. Review by Aussie1
How do you Rate this Product

Firstly, racingtheplanet in Hong Kong delivered my item to Australia (Melb) very quickly.

As for the Pacsafe bag, I was looking into different day packs that I could use whilst away in the Middle East and wanted something that had some security given the amount of days touring, getting on and off transport and walking through known pick pocket areas. With Venturesafe pack I could see lots of nice security touches and when the bag arrived it was evident that for someone to unzip my bag it would be a two hand job which I'm sure would be far more noticeable if I was carrying the bag on my shoulder etc. Also due to the zipper fastening, if unfamiliar with it, I could see it would take a bit of time to unzip it if the bag was unattended, so again making the villain more noticeable. As for the slash proof worthiness, I can't say as I haven't tested that. The locking device for one of the straps does do what it says and also is again a two hand job to undo which is a good thing. I went for the grey colour pack and was pleased to see it looked less flashy in the flesh, giving it a low profile look along with the zippers all neatly tucked away. I hope the bag isn't tested whilst away, but I feel more comfortable knowing it has these features.

Note: Only the main compartment can be padlocked between zippers, if you intend to leave your pack unattended for a time. The other two smaller compartments can only be fastened with the zipper and latch.

The size of the pack is perfect I think. I was originally going to get the 20L version, but after reading peoples reviews I could see the 25L bag worked better. Certainly so far it can carry everything that I would take including jacket, jumper, two bottles of water, small camera, first aid kit, maps, phone, sunscreen, wallet, sunglasses with space left over. Easily get a SLR in the bag if you had one. The width of the bag is also just right for having it between your legs whilst sitting down and isn't so deep that you feel like you are going to whack people whilst turning.

Quality: So far from the feel of it, the quality is very good. The fabric is tough looking and looks resilient from light rain. Again, I haven't put it through the test.

In summary, I'm looking forward to using the bag and will report back after the trip if it fails. I really couldn't see anything else on the market that delivers such features. Travelon is the other brand, but very limited. Yes, I know there are many ways to get into a bag other than opening the zippers, but I guess if you cover off the usual ways of theft techniques then I think this bag will do well.
