How do you Rate this Product Since I started using SmarTube it's been going great. I do not need to take any water containers on trips because with this system, any bottle becomes a drinking bottle for the race. Exceptionally useful and very practical. (Posted on 16/02/2012)

How do you Rate this Product This was one of the most useful, simple and cheap pieces of kit I had with me on the Sahara Race 2011. If your pack has the capability to hold a 1.5 litre bottle of water easily, this is a very good choice for hydration. I had a camelpak with me, but didnt use it because I was using the Smartube. The other benefit of using it is that you do not get the plastic taste you get when water bottles have been in the heat for long periods, so water actually tastes fresh. It was also easy to add electrolytes and powders when you wanted to, which you cannot really do to camelpaks because they get sticky.
The only slight downside to the system is that the drinking nozzle isnt quite as good as a camelpak (doesnt flow quite as quickly), but it remained water tight. For the price, though, it is highly recommended. (Posted on 11/10/2011) -
Forget camel bags Review by Caroline
How do you Rate this Product During all Racing the Planet events, you will be given 1.5l bottles as your water supply. Forget about refilling your own water systems (be it bottles or camel bags), just use the 1.5l bottles you are given, screw the SmarTube drinking system on and you are ready to go. No more wasting time for refilling and easy access to your water during the race (works just like a camel bag). (Posted on 27/06/2009)
