The Black Diamond Spot powers through the darkness, whether you're trail finding during an alpine start or hunting for rap anchors at midnight. Incredibly adaptable and super bright with 75 lumens at max setting, this compact powerhouse has a mode customizable to any fast-paced activity, from distance to dimming to strobe. Red SinglePower LEDs provide proximity lighting without cycling through the white mode, so you won't accidentally compromise night vision. A lock mode prevents accidental battery drain in your pack or while stored, and a 3-level power meter means you'll never be caught with a dead headlamp hours from camp.
- 1 DoublePower LED, 2 SinglePower white LEDs and 2 SinglePower red LEDs emit 75 lumens (max setting)
- Red night vision mode has proximity and strobe settings, and activates without cycling through the white mode
- Sleek, low profile design uses 3 AAA batteries
- Settings include full strength in proximity and distance modes, dimming, strobe, red night vision and lockout
- Three-level power meter shows remaining battery life for 3 seconds after switching on headlamp
- Protected against splashing or sprayed water from any angle (IPX 4)

A bit bulky, but great light overall Review by Alina
How do you Rate this Product I just started running with my new Black Diamond Spot LED headlamp and I enjoy the bright light that it provides in comparison to the Petzls that I have used in the past. The choice of light settings is also useful as I sometimes find the brightest setting to be more than I need when on the road. The only downside I have found is that the headlamp is slightly bulky, and I do notice it moving/bouncing on my forehead with the stride of my steps. This movement is very minimal, but it is not as comfortable as smaller headlamps. The quality of light, however, makes up for this when running trails and other areas where light is needed late at night. (Posted on 12/01/2012)

great headlamp Review by Erin
How do you Rate this Product I used this headlamp at the Gobi March 2011 and it was perfect. I switched between the high-powered distance mode and the softer, wider light of the proximity mode depending on my situation. I liked that I could adjust both of these modes too, making them dimmer or brighter depending on the situation.
The red light was particularly useful in the tents in the dark so as to not disturb sleeping tent-mates. I put it on lock mode every time I threw it in my pack to avoid it accidentally being turned on and the battery running down. Now I look forward to taking it trail running at night! Light, versatile and incredibly bright Review by Stephanie Case
How do you Rate this Product I use the Black Diamond Spot LED Headlamp in races primarily for its versatility and its brightness. I have tested a lot of other products on the market and have found that Black Diamond provides superior illumination on the trail, which is most important for me. I also like that you can choose between different modes lighting. 'Spot' lighting uses one LED to provide an incredibly bright and focused beam of light ahead, which is great for night running on trail. When I'm just hanging around camp or in the tent, I switch to the general lighting mode, which uses 3 LEDs to cast a softer and wider beam of light on my surroundings. The batteries have an excellent lifespan. I used this in training and in RTP's Australia race and still haven't had to change the batteries yet! (Posted on 07/06/2010)
