Super lightweight, but not as durable as traditional locking poles Review by Marshall
How do you Rate this Product These poles are great for racing as they are super lightweight and fold into nothing. The big drawback is that they are not as durable as the traditional locking poles...and they are pricey. Make sure that they are the right length for you as they are not length adjustable (poles should allow your arms to be at a 90 degree angle for best use (shorter for going up hills and longer for going down). Mine were faulty and lasted a few months Review by Paul
How do you Rate this Product While they lasted they were fantastic. BUT from day one the section that screws into each pole length was loose and kept coming loose regardless of how many times i tightened them. loctited them and even used plumber tape to stop it.
Eventually after 4 months and not that much use- they cracked at this point. Currently i'm in discussions with Racing the Planet about a warranty which so far has been declined.
Not happy. If you recieve them loose like my pair- return them ASAP. (Posted on 01/05/2011) -
why not? Review by Rowley
How do you Rate this Product Agree with Sam F entirely. I dont understand why more people in RTP events dont use poles. Look at races in Europe and they all do. They help with the ups and the downhills and if you have any co-ordination they are v easy to use and to get into a rythym with. These are super light, but i have broken a few pairs and they are spenny. They can snap but still best on market for their weight. (Posted on 06/01/2011)

They have 100% converted me to being a pole user Review by Sam Fanshawe
How do you Rate this Product These poles are fantastic. I chose them because I wasn't planning on using poles for much of the Gobi March (China) so wanted something light that wouldn't be a burden to carry but used them for 95% of the course. However being super lightweight means that they are not as sturdy as many other makes of poles so if you use poles all the time and are used to putting a lot of weight on them (especially going downhill when there is gravity as well) then they may not be strong enough for you.
Also be aware when you first buy them that the knots are in the right place. (Posted on 07/08/2010) -
Great for hiking Review by Sam H - RacingThePlanet
How do you Rate this Product These poles are so light and being foldable they are very convenient. I use them when I'm out on really long hikes and know I'm going to be tackling a lot of hills. They aren't the sturdiest of poles and wouldn't rely on them to put all my weight on them for hours of end, but they are perfect to keep my balance and just give that bit of extra support to my dodgy knees on inclines - leg muscle fatigue is so much less when I use them, which is a bonus too. Great poles Review by Maya
How do you Rate this Product These poles are fantastic! They're super light and I loved the foldable feature. I wouldn't recommend putting ALL your weight onto these since they're not heavy duty poles, but they help take the weight off your sore blistered feet and knees, especially when you're feeling fatigued. They were great assistance during the river crossings, salt flats, and sand dunes during the Atacama. I think part of my ability to finish the Atacama on fractured feet were due to having these poles. (Posted on 07/04/2010)
