RacingThePlanet HQ is slap bang in the middle of Hong Kong's Sheung Wan district in amongst the dried goods stores that sell everything from nuts and seeds, through dried seafood and fruit, to a vast array of dessicated fungus.
We love it here. It's a taste of traditional Hong Kong that hasn't changed much for the past 50 years. You still hear the sound of abacuses being used for accounting and have to step round fresh produce being dried out on the pavement. However, there is one product that we feel it's sad to see still in such volume in our neighbourhood, and that's dried sharks fin.
